Once upon a time Jesus spat in the dirt and made mud. He proceeded to rub it in some poor blind man's eyes. Then the guy could see. Certainly one could argue that the mud is symbolic of how God formed man from dust, and Jesus was using earth to recreate this man's eyes. But perhaps, just maybe, Jesus has a sense of humor.

Think about it. He rubbed mud on someone's face. You may imagine Jesus saying something like, "Be Ye Heal-dah!" And smacking him on the forehead.

I imagine him with a smile on his face exclaiming "You've been Punked!" What a great story. Can you imagine how many times this ex-blind guy must have shared his testimony?
